Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Colleagues,
Heavy safety requirements applicable to public railways and the vibration loads specific to both locomotives and railway cars have given quality assurance in welding a key role in railway vehicle construction. This is why the JoinTrans conference will be covering state-of-the-art joining techniques, new design solutions, and information on international standards. Joining included related technologies like Adhesive Bonding and Additive Manufacturing but also testing of components. These are also the activities of focus at the ECWRV – European Committee for Welding of Railway Vehicles. The aim of the ECWRV is to implement railway vehicle construction quality requirements at a uniformly high level that will withstand global comparison. The EN 15085 online register plays a central role in this. The register’s acknowledged transparency supports companies and manufacturer certification bodies in assessing manufacturing quality from welding companies. This conference is intended for welding supervisors and designers at welding companies and vehicle operators, employees and decision makers in the national safety authorities (NSAs) and entities in charge of maintenance (ECMs), and auditors at conformity assessment bodies. JoinTrans is the premier central forum for sharing experience across national borders. Apart from presentations and discussions, there will be a supporting exhibition giving attendees an opportunity to learn about new developments.
On behalf of ECWRV, we are honoured to invite you to the
5th European Conference JOIN-TRANS 2018
